About

I love music and meditation. Music is the silence between the notes and a beautiful way towards meditation while meditation is the art of hearing the soundless sound and the music of silence - the soulful music that stirs and elevates our aspiring consciousness and towards our inner self.

I played Gu Zheng at the age of 7, after 5 years of learning (with intermittent), I obtained the certificate from the Central Conservatory of Music, and started to teach in 2017. I also self-learned piano, kalimba, ukulele, xylophone, recorder, violin, ocarina (Taodi), and Chinese chime-bells (Bianzhong).

I am a certified pranayama (breathing meditation) instructor and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology student at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. My research mainly focuses on how mindfulness breathing meditation can reduce perceived stress level and enhance cognitive functions such as attention, inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility. I hope my research can benefit more people and organizations such as school and workplace settings to protect their mental well-being.
